My family and I are considering switching from Federal Employee Blue Shield Basic (not quite 'Cadillac', but at least a 'Buick' health plan) to an HSA at the December 2010 open enrollment.
Issues with the switch:
- Why doesn't California recognize federal law for HSA's ??
- Can I find a BCBS HSA through my employer (Federal Employees Health Benefit Plan)?
- Will we really save money? We've got two kids, and there are lots of impromptu visits to the pediatric clinic for colds and minor injuries.
